Gregg Bresner CFA, Senior Advisor
Prior to founding Tyto Capital Partners LLC, Mr. Bresner was a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Group of Plainfield Asset Management LLC, an SEC registered investment adviser which managed in excess of $5 billion of equity capital (2006 – 2010). Prior to merging his fund into Plainfield in 2006, Mr. Bresner was a co-founding partner and portfolio manager for Briscoe Capital Management, an SEC registered investment adviser for a $400 million specialty debt fund that invested primarily in secured loan assets (2003 – 2006). From 2000 – 2003, Mr. Bresner was a Managing Director of Berenson Minella & Company, a boutique merchant banking firm that specialized in direct investing and advisory services. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Bresner was a Director in the Leveraged Finance/Financial Sponsors Group at Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust Corporation. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Bresner was an Associate in the M&A Group of Wasserstein Perella & Co.
Mr. Bresner served as a member of the Board of Directors of companies including Black Elk Energy, a Gulf-based oil and gas production company, Peerage Realty, a Canadian real estate brokerage firm platform and Military Parts Exchange, an after-market military aviation parts supplier. Mr. Bresner received a B.S. in 1989 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and an M.B.A. in 1991 from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business where he was a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar.
